About

Innovating with Computer Vision and Robotics

I am currently pursuing a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Vision and Machine Learning within the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department at Northeastern University in Boston. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Muffakham Jah College Of Engineering And Technology. My academic and research focus is on applying computer vision in agriculture and healthcare, particularly leveraging edge and parallel computing techniques.

During my Co-op at Clarapath, I worked as a Robotics Engineer, contributing to the development of SectionStar, an automated all-in-one tissue sectioning and transfer system. This role allowed me to gain hands-on experience in robotics and software systems.

Additionally, I have a solid background in IoT devices and robotics, with experience in computer networks, hardware interfacing, robot navigation, inverse kinematics, and path planning.

Projects

Implementing ORBSLAM3 on (NUANCE) – Autonomous Car

Location: Boston, MA

Date: November 2023

  • Implemented ORBSLAM3 on an autonomous vehicle by integrating ROS packages, gaining a comprehensive understanding of SLAM principles and the ORBSLAM algorithm.
  • Successfully configured camera and IMU data collection, restructured ROS bag data to ensure compatibility with ORBSLAM3 for seamless implementation.
ROS-Based Synergistic Articulated Robotic Manipulator (R-SARM)

Location: Hyderabad, India
Date: July 2021

  • Developed an autonomous 6-DoF manipulator programmed for pick-and-place tasks by extracting object coordinates from the camera frame and processing them through the “Find-object” package.
  • Solved motion planning challenges by utilizing MoveIt to develop an Inverse Kinematic solver, ensuring precise control and implementing collision avoidance strategies based on the extracted coordinates.
ACHIEVEMENTS
• Published a paper on ‘ROS Based Autonomous Mobile Manipulator Robot’ in Atlantis Press and won first prize in the “Dr. Abdul Kalam Innovation Challenge.” (view).
